Welcome to the photo archive that shows part of the largest collection of photographs taken and collected by a single man during WW1, giving an authentic glimpse into the past. Alexander took close to 400 photographs and collected further articles, postcards and letters which correspond with his detailed diary. The majority have detailed, handwritten descriptions which allow us to know exactly what is depicted and when. I have unfortunately not been able to include all in the book, so this archive aims to bring some of the collection to surface to ensure that they are saved for all to appreciate.
